stated that PT Cashlez Worldwide Indonesia, which is a payment gateway company, made a remarkable increase in mid-2019. During the period from January to June 2019, the increase in the number of transactions reached more than 200%. This was also followed by GTV’s growth which was 150% greater compared to the period last year.

According to Tan Leny Yonathan as the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) of Cashlez, the highest increase in transaction value was obtained from Cashlez Link which is an online-based payment method. Meanwhile, until June 2019, the number of users registering on the Cashlez Application reached more than 6,000 with the five highest segments being retail, fashion, professional services, F&B, travel and tourism.

The large number of registers on the Cashlez Application is inseparable from the large market expansion in several major cities in Indonesia. Cashlez also collaborates with many partners and adds payment acceptance, and optimizes websites and social media.

Cashlez has worked closely with various banks, namely Bank Mandiri, BNI, Maybank, and BTPN. In April 2019, Cashlez also managed to get series A funding from Sumitomo Corporation which will be used as capital, both to expand the network and to develop quality products and services.

To maximize services and increase the convenience of the Indonesian people when transacting, revealed that Cashlez became the first fintech to collaborate with Informa as a provider of mobile cashier services. Informa visitors throughout Indonesia can directly make non-cash payments, either through debit cards, credit cards, or digital payments.

Not only that, Cashlez’s support for GNNT carried by the government was also apparent through the presence of Cashlez at the Jakarta Car Free Day (CFD) event in July 2019. Reporting from Cashlez’s participation in the CFD aims to educate the public about the importance of non-cash payments. Hopefully, the community can understand the advantages and benefits of using non-cash payments.
